Ditch the Dark Day
Friday 25th of November saw our second 'Ditch the Dark Day'. A large number of children and parents met at Artie's corner to walk, cycle or scoot to school. The cold and frosty morning was lit up brilliantly with all the bright colours of the children and parents' clothing. There were lots of rosy red cheeks by the time we reached school. Annemarie from Sustrans joined us in the afternoon for an interesting assembly on keeping safe when travelling to school and introduced us to 'Mike the Bike', (Mike is a foldaway bike that can be folded up to briefcase size.) Annemarie also presented each child with a Hi-Vis vest to wear when out walking or cycling. We had a great day, thank you to everyone for all their efforts in dressing brightly and decorating their scooters and bikes!
