Herbie the Firefighter visits
19th Nov 2016
Herbie Blackburn, our local Fireman visited P5-7 to tell the children about ways to improve their family's safety. He spoke about the importance of regularly checking that Smoke Alarms are working and to ensure each family know how to get out of their house quickly in event of an emergency. Herbie also spoke about keeping safe on the farm and also near rivers, lakes and streams. Herbie gave each child a Fire safety pack with activities to complete. The pupils in P5,6,7 really enjoyed listening to Herbie's real life stories about being a Fireman and learned lots of useful information. If any family needs a new Fire Alarm, please contact the school. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service will provide these free of charge.
