Money Matters
24th Apr 2017
At the end of the spring term Primary 3 and 4 were very busy working on the topic of money. They were calculating the change required from amounts up to £10 when buying items. To put it into the context of real life, we took a trip to Stanley's Nisa shop on the Main Street. The children had various amounts of money to spend, therefore they had to find possible items they could buy, calculate the cost and work out the change. Then the children gave their items to Claire to process them and in return they got their change and receipt. The children thoroughly enjoyed this experience. A huge thank-you to Stanley and his staff for being so accommodating and providing the children with funky sunglasses!!
